Kayaking Laguna Beach is the perfect California activity for family, friends, and romance. Its safe, easy, invigorating, exhilarating and beautiful! Our two hour guided eco-tour is a great way to experience the splendor of the Pacific. There’s no way to get closer to the reefs, private beaches, tide pools and sea life. You’ll also see some magnificent beachfront homes.
The Motion of the Ocean is a Magic Potion
Experience nature without the noise and smell of an engine. Kayaking Laguna Beach is the best place to kayak in Orange County. Kayak past the storied cliffs, coves, and clear water of Laguna Beach in our safe, stable tandem sit-on-top kayaks. Soak in the abundant colors, commune with sea lions, breathe fresh air, inhale the brine, and get some exercise.
Safe, Easy and Fun for Everyone
On a Laguna Beach kayak tour, we're with you every stroke of the way. We start with a kayak lesson on the beach. From there we launch from Fisherman's Cove (also known as Boat Canyon because of it's ease of launching), one of the calmest, wave-protected coves in Laguna Beach. That translates to a nice, smooth channel for getting outside the surf zone - easily the most challenging part of kayaking in Southern California. And once you're outside the zone, you're in the zone. It's smooth and easy, because Laguna Beach is protected from prevailing winds and waves by Catalina Island.
On our Laguna Beach kayak tour you will see Splash Rock, Heisler Park and Rockpile, one of Laguna's most famous surf spots. You’ll see hidden reefs where bright orange garibaldi swim just beneath you. We’ll pass Main Beach and Bird Rock, Shaw’s Cove, Crescent Bay and Emerald Bay. And we’ll get up close and personal with a colony of sea lions at Seal Rock, a nature sanctuary.
Kayaking in Orange County is great for Families, Couples and Kids
Kayaking Laguna Beach is an easy, non-invasive workout and it's a natural theme ride. Kids from 8 years old and up can paddle in the front with an adult steering in the rear. Kids from 3 – 8 can ride in the middle with 2 paddlers. Our instructors are all experienced watermen and women who will share their love of the ocean and the environment with you.
Come on out. We love singles, couples, families, friends, and parties. We can create survivor games, treasure hunts, relay races, and even a romantic paddle complete with a gourmet picnic on the beach. All you have to bring is a good attitude and, well, SPF30.
Combined weight limit for the boats is 450 lbs.
And remember, everyday above ground is a good day. But everyday above water is a better one.
Directions to Treasure Island Kayaking:
We are located at the north end of Treasure Island Beach Park, which fronts the Montage Resort in South Laguna. The resort address is 30801 South Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, 92651. To reach our kayak location from the north (downtown Laguna), travel south on Pacific Coast Highway approximately 3 miles. At the intersection of Montage Resort Drive you'll see the Montage on your right. Proceed straight on PCH to the next light, which is Wesley Dr. Go right and pull into the public parking garage. Then walk north along the bluff. You'll pass the Montage grounds. Keep going to the far end of the park, where you'll find a ramp that goes down to Goff beach, the northernmost section of Treasure Island. It is distinguished by the giant rock that juts up from the sea and is connected by a unique beach bordered on both sides by the oceans. You'll find the kayaks there.
If the lot is full, there is additional public parking at the Montage - just before the garage, and also metered parking on PCH.
Directions to La Vida Laguna’s Kayak Tour location:
