We meet at La Vida’s surf shack garage adjacent to Thalia Beach, the best break in Laguna for beginners because of its consistent, slow rolling waves. Throw on an optional wetsuit, grab a board, and off we go. We start on the sand with instruction on form, timing, posture, paddling, positioning, wave selection, crowd etiquette, and safety. Then we paddle out into the lineup and practice surfing the famous waves of Southern California. Our lessons have a high success rate of getting people up and riding a wave within their session. It’s the ultimate California experience and a fun and exhilarating form of exercise. Half day, full day, and multiple day surf camps are also available, customizable to your groups schedule and experience levels.
We teach daily, though the times are subject to tide conditions.
