Our two hour guided eco-tour is a great way to experience the splendor of the Pacific. There’s no way to get closer to the reefs, secluded beaches, tide pools and sea life. On a Laguna Beach kayak tour, we're with you every stroke of the way. We start with a kayak lesson on the beach. From there we launch from Fisherman's Cove (also known as Boat Canyon because it is the best cove for small vessel boating), one of the calmest, wave-protected coves in Laguna Beach. That means a nice, smooth channel for getting outside the surf zone – which is the only challenging part of kayaking in Southern California. And once you're outside the zone, you're in the zone. It's smooth and easy, because Laguna Beach is protected from prevailing winds and waves by Catalina Island.
On our Laguna Beach kayak tour you will see Splash Rock, Heisler Park and Rock Piles, one of Laguna's most famous surf spots. You’ll see hidden reefs where bright orange garibaldi fish swim just beneath you. We’ll pass Main Beach and Bird Rock, Shaw’s Cove, Crescent Bay and Emerald Bay. And we’ll get up close and personal with a colony of sea lions at Seal Rock, a nature sanctuary.
Kayaking is Great for Families, Couples and Kids
Kayaking Laguna Beach is an easy, non-invasive workout. Kids 8 years and older can paddle in the front with an adult steering in the rear. Kids 3 to 7 years old usually ride in the middle of the kayak in-between 2 adult paddlers. Our instructors are all experienced watermen and women who will share their love of the ocean and the environment with you.

The Beach Access to Fisherman’s Cove is a staircase to the right of 631 Cliff Drive, Laguna Beach, CA. 92651. Walk down the staircase (next to the sign that says “Fisherman’s Cove”) and follow the path to the left to meet your guide on the sand. Click here for maps and directions.
PARKING AND WHAT TO BRING: Park anywhere in the neighborhood on the street, as long as you are not in/blocking a driveway or crossing a red curb area. Cliff Drive along Heisler Park has 4 hour metered parking, as does the ocean side of PCH. Lock all valuables in your trunk, and bring water, keys, towel, shoes, sunblock, etc. down to the beach with you. Bathing suit and water friendly clothing is recommended.
From the north (on Pacific Coast Highway, a.k.a. PCH)
Take PCH into North Laguna. First two traffic lights are Viejo and Cliff. There is a Shell station on the left. Go through both lights to the next one. That is the 2nd Cliff Drive. At the light it says Beverly Street to the left, and Cliff Drive to the right. Turn right. The road forks immediately - you want to turn Left and drive down the hill. At the bottom of the hill on your right, the Beach Access to Fisherman’s Cove is a staircase to the right of 631 Cliff Drive, Laguna Beach, CA. 92651. Walk down the staircase (next to the sign that says “Fisherman’s Cove”) and follow the path to the left to meet your guide on the sand.
From the south (on PCH)
Take PCH into Laguna Beach. Go past Main Beach and the intersection of Broadway. Go up the hill, pass one traffic light and one crosswalk. Take a left at the next stoplight “Myrtle”. Drive one block and take your first right on to Cliff Drive. Drive a few blocks (Heisler park and the ocean will be on your left), when the road heads downhill you will see a big white building with the address 631 Cliff Drive. Walk down the staircase (next to the sign that says “Fisherman’s Cove”) and follow the path to the left to meet your guide on the sand.
From the east (on Laguna Canyon Road / 133)
Take Laguna Canyon Road into Laguna Beach until it dead ends at Pacific Coast Highway. Turn right and go up the hill, pass one traffic light and one crosswalk.
