ELECTRIC BIKE BACKROADS LAGUNA BIKE TOUR
Experience the sublime beauty of Laguna Beach on this safe and historic loop that bypasses Pacific Coast Highway. Pedal the quaint Craftsman neighborhoods and gardens, access amazing view corridors, stop at Heisler Park to see the magnificent public art, experience the charming downtown commercial district, and many artists’ residences.
We start our ride in North Laguna and head north past historic Pyne Castle, with elevated ocean views in the bucolic neighborhood. Then we head down to beautiful Crescent Bay beach park, with the best panoramic view of the Laguna coastline down to Dana Point. Then it’s south through Heisler Park to view some of Laguna’s amazing public art. We’ll cycle through the downtown village and on to the Oak St neighborhood, home to early California Craftsman bungalows. Then deep into Bluebird Canyon to experience the deep hills buffeting Laguna. Then we turn and head through more quaint neighborhoods, past Laguna High School before pedaling through the village once more and returning to our starting point. DANA POINT HARBOR TO SAN CLEMENTE COASTAL ELECTRIC BIKE RIDE
We ride off the resort property and head south along Coast Highway briefly before meeting up with The Stands Vista Park. Continuing further south through exclusive Dana Point neighborhoods we stop briefly at the Doris Walker Overlook for a stunning view of the Dana Point Harbor and coastline down to San Diego. Back on our bikes it’s time to head down through Heritage Park and over to the historic Dana Point Harbor. As we ride through the harbor, we’ll learn about it’s history dating back to 1835 when Richard Henry Dana arrived on his sailing brig Pilgrim. We’ll see a replica of his 1825 merchantman brig as well as a 1770’s privateer schooner used during the American Revolution. Riding further south we’ll meet up with a beach path along the iconic Doheny surfing beach. After watching some surfing we’ll continue along the flat and scenic coastal trail to San Clemente before heading back to the resort.
DANA POINT HARBOR TO SAN JUAN MISSION COASTAL BEACH CRUISER RIDE
Beginning from area resorts or Dana Point Harbor, we ride the flats to Doheny Beach, and then pick up the inland San Juan River bike trail, an easy flat ride leading to the historic western town of San Juan Capistrano, home to the stories swallows and the best preserved Mission in California. We’ll tour the quaint, narrow streets, stop at the Mission, and then make our way back to Dana Point.
LAGUNA NIGUEL MONARCH LOOP
Departs from both the St Regis and Ritz Carlton Resorts, this tour has it all: a descent to Salt Beach, a gentle climb through the golf course and neighborhood, and a stop at Chapparosa Park. Then it’s downhill to Doheny Beach and Dana Point Harbor before climbing home. Easy to moderate 12 mile ride.
HUNTINGTON & NEWPORT BEACH CRUISE TOUR
Beach cruising is easy and entertaining. In Newport Beach begin at the pier, ride the jetty out to the world famous surf spot, The Wedge, then head down the strand past the party homes along the beach. Optional ride across the harbor by ferry to quaint Balboa Island. From Huntington resorts like the Hyatt and Hilton, hop on a bike and ride south along the strand, past the cyclists, skateboarders, surfers and kite surfers to Newport Beach Pier, and then loop back on this flat ride.
NEWPORT GLAM BEACH CRUISER BIKE TOUR
This lovely, flat ride explores the exclusive neighborhoods and beaches of Newport. We start on Balboa Island, riding through the lovely village until we reach the world’s shortest car ferry, where we will take the 5 minute ride across the channel. From there we ride Balboa Peninsula south to the mouth of the harbor known as the Jetty. Here we’ll see the world famous surf break called The Wedge. Then we’ll ride the beach path along glorious oceanfront homes to Newport Pier and see the historic Dory fish market. Then it’s back to the Newport Fun Zone, home to whale watching and fishing charters, where we’ll grab the ferry again and make our final stop in Balboa Village to enjoy a world famous balboa (chocolate covered) ice cream car, a fitting reward for a glorious ride.
